Tunafel - Tuna and Chickpea Balls
2 cans of Tuna Chunks in Water Manná
300g of cooked Chickpeas
Half Onion
1 clove of Garlic
Fresh cilantro to taste
Salt, black pepper, turmeric and paprika, to taste
For the Sauce:
1 low-fat yogurt
1/2 tsp spicy coffee (shiracha or tabasco, for example)
Salt, garlic powder for seasoning
Zest of 1 lemon
Chopped coriander.
1. Place all ingredients in the food processor and process. Then place the dough in the cold and let it rest for at least 2 hours.
2. Make balls with the dough (makes 20 units), placing them on a baking sheet. Take it to freeze.
3. The next day, remove them from the baking tray and place them closed in a bag, keeping them available when you want to cook them.
4. When you want to prepare the tunafel, preheat the airfryer to 200ºC. Then bake them at the same temperature for 13 minutes.
5. Prepare the Sauce. Beat the yogurt well with a fork and add the other ingredients, mixing well. Put it in the cold for at least 1 hour before using.
6. Accompany the Tunafel with a salad and this sauce.
